Hello efurryone! This is little Jessie reporting. My brother and I went for our annual health check up last week and we've both been given a clean bill of health - except that the vet wasn't happy that I've turned into a little, well, fattie and gained 3kg of weight over the past year.
Now, please believe me, it's not because I'm doing nothing all day, just lazing around my crate
or on the cool kitchen floor
but because the dry dog food I was fed was too rich in fat and I just kept packing it on.
My pawrents will have to feed me a different brand of dog food in future but for now, I've been put on diet dog food for small breeds.
This will hopefully help me kickstart my diet and then I can go back to 'normal' dog food when I've slimmed down.
*Sigh* - so now I'm officially a teenager with weight issues. I wonder if it's possible to bark oneself slim? Because that's what I do best!
Hey, at least in comes in a pretty pink bag!
ReplyDeleteI think you're beautiful just the way you are, but it is healthier to lose a few kgs if the vet says so.
Bummer, Jessie! Being on a diet is no fun at all! We hope your new food tastes yummy!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
I think you should at least TRY to bark yourself slim because think of how much fun that will be!! :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm....how old are you Jessie? Katie turned 3 in December and she seems to be porking it up a bit too. Could be it's all the school days we're busy with now, lots of treats in those...or...maybe she's a teenager too??
ReplyDeleteBOL ! You don't look a little fat to us, must be your fur.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, hope your dieting is a success ;)
Hi pups - good luck with the barking diet! (it worked for Charlie and Higgins!)
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous! We hope your new food is very tasty...my sheltie's name is "Kenna". I am working on my husband to get a second sheltie...she needs a pal. He says she is too busy "herding" our cats around to deal with a new pup.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that everything beed ok on the health checks. Poor you, being called a fattie Jessie. I guess 3kg be a lot huh? I hopes your new food be yummy!
ReplyDeleteWe have heard of bark yourself silly, but never bark yourself slim. Best of luck loosing weight.
